About A.B.Brown Station Project
A.B. Brown Generating Station is a 700-MW coal and natural gas fired power plant located in Posey County, Indiana. The plant is owned by Southern Indiana Gas & Electric Co., a subsidiary of CenterPoint Energy according to S&P Global. The company is planning to build two natural gas combustion turbines with a combined capacity of 460-MW at the A.B. Brown power plant site to replace its two current coal-fired units.
A.B.Brown Steam Turbine Power Plant is a 530.4MW coal fired power project. It is located in Indiana, the US. According to GlobalData, who tracks and profiles over 170,000 power plants worldwide, the project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in March 1979.
The Challenge
As a well-known and historic power station, its internal piping structure is relatively complex, and compatibility and connection issues with old pipelines also need to be considered.
